I study how technology reshapes democratic societies, with a focus on the economics of the news industry, media policy, and artificial intelligence. I am project lead at Fritt Ord, the Norwegian foundation for freedom of expression, and hold a PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge, where I remain an affiliated researcher.
